Senior Firmware Engineer
In this fascinating role you will develop building blocks for the next generation platform of our innovative E-Metering Business in co-operation with a multi-disciplinary engineering team. As an experienced specialist, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, debugging and documentation of embedded software for highly integrated communication devices. You will give technical support to application technology and Firmware teams across Europe. Furthermore you will help to improve our platform definition, development processes and engineering best practices.
This key function requires a university level degree (FH/ETH or similar) in Electrical Engineering, IT or Communications. You have a very good knowledge in Embedded Firmware design and implementations of complex communication devices, ideally in an industrial environment. Experience will include 32-bit uC architectures, object oriented design (UML), SW/FW configuration management, RTOS, communicaton protocols, and protocol validation/testing (programming language will be C/C++). Preferrably you have in depth experience in embedded Internet Protocol based architectures and protocol stacks. Furthermore you are a team player and a creative thinker with excellent communication skills in English and (preferrably) in German. You enjoy working within a multi-site international engineering team and will fullfill a bridging role between different mentalities and cultures.
