Export activities award for Landis+Gyr in Greece:
Exporting excellence

The Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA) has awarded Landis+Gyr its Export Activities Award. The award recognizes Landis+Gyr’s success regarding exports and demonstrates its contribution to the further development of Greece. The EBEA awards are split into ten categories and are awarded in recognition of a company’s contribution to Greece’s economic and social development. Other EBEA award categories include new entrepreneur and social responsibility. The Export Activities Award takes into account several aspects of a company’s operating success, including level of exports, exports as a percentage of total sales, and the promotion of new products.

(AEEMA) 2006 excellence award for the ecoMeter
The ecoMeter was awarded the Australian Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (AEEMA) 2006 Excellence Award for Best New Product in the ICT/Software category. The Country Energy Home Energy Efficiency Trial was awarded a prestigious Green Globe from the NSW Department of Energy, Utilities and Sustainability for innovative use of Ampy+Email’s smart ecoMeter technology to deliver energy and environmental benefits to end-use consumers.

Landis+Gyr France has been awarded the "As de l’Entreprise de l’Allier" award in the category of Sustainable Development
The ceremony took place on February 7th, 2008 in Vichy, France. Many political and economic representatives were present as well as manufacturers from the Auvergne region. Michel Combemorel, CEO Landis+Gyr France, also attended the event along with other members of the company’s management team. The awards were created 20 years ago in France. There are five categories; innovation, growth, sustainable development, international, and local initiatives. Ten companies were nominated to compete in each category with the winners being selected by secret vote. Landis+Gyr was particularly praised for its policy of outsourcing which has, over the last fifteen years, translated into the creation of six companies in the Montluçon area.
