Kuopion Energia, Finland adopts versatile smart multi-energy metering solution
Kuopion Energia and Landis+Gyr agree to continue their long-term cooperation, with the energy company receiving an extensive smart metering solution by the end of 2013. The solution offers Kuopion Energia many benefits, and the Landis+Gyr operational and maintenance service allows the network company to utilise data produced by smart metering without worrying about costs or maintenance of the system.

Lappeenrannan Energiaverkot Oy, Finland: Intelligent solution for electricity, district heat and gas metering
The Landis+Gyr Gridstream smart metering solution selected by Lappeenrannan Energiaverkot Oy enables multi-energy metering and the utilisation of smart metering data in energy management regarding electricity, district heat, gas and in the future also water. The advanced multi-energy project will be finished by December 2012.

EKZ: Smart Metering in Switzerland powered by Landis+Gyr
Landis+Gyr supplied its end-to-end Gridstream solution to Die Elektrizitätswerke des Kantons Zürich (EKZ), one of the first utilities to implement Smart Metering in Switzerland. The offering comprised 1000 smart meters delivered with the fully integrated PLC based communication technology and supported by the front edge Gridstream MDUS software that enables unification and seamless integration of data in the customer SAP system. The Gridstream solution from Landis+Gyr is scalable and can easily be extended to accommodate needs of the EKZ large customer base. The pilot has been rolled out in spring 2010 and is expected to be completed by spring 2012.
ACEA Distribuzione: Largest smart metering deployment in Europe
Landis+Gyr has supplied an integrated smart metering solution covering 1,5 million bi-directional electricity meters and smart grid applications to one of the largest municipal utilities in Rome ACEA Distribuzione. The solution has been particularly designed to achieve improved control of network operation and to monitor low and medium voltage line status automatically. The system is scalable to be extended to gas and water meters. The utility is already successfully using the system for remote management of more than 1 million residential electricity customers, making this one of the largest smart metering deployments in Europe to date.
E.ON Sweden: E.ON chooses a one-stop-shop Gridstream solution
To enable E.ON Sweden to comply with the new legislation to provide monthly, consumption-based billing to their consumers by 1 July 2009, Landis+Gyr developed and deployed an end-to-end smart metering solution across Sweden within a relatively short period of time. The solution package included installation, testing, and maintenance of 390,000 metering points followed up by the meter data management services over the next six years.
Vaasan Sähköverkko, Finland: Gridstream to meet large scale deployment challenges
Landis+Gyr has provided a turnkey smart metering solution of the Gridstream AIM system (Dashboard, AIMIA), 62,000 metering devices, GPRS+PLC communication technologies and a full cycle of deployment services, including acceptance tests and utility personnel trainings. The large scale deployment in Finland took less than two years and required thorough logistics planning and top technical expertise in the mass field installations.
TRE-FOR, Denmark: Integrated multi-energy solution to improve customer service
The turnkey delivery of the Gridstream multi-energy smart metering solution covers the installation of 200,000 metering points at TRE-FOR's electricity, heat and water sites in Denmark. Landis+Gyr is responsible for all implementation phases, including hardware installations, Gridstream AIM system implementation, training and integration into the customer data system. The communication of the solution is based on a combination of GPRS data transfer and low voltage network technology.
Syd Energi, Denmark: One smart metering solution for all customers
Syd Energi was the first Danish utility to roll out smart metering to all of its customers. Landis+Gyr delivered a smart metering solution of 246,000 metering points as a two phase project during 2005-2008. Integration to customer’s ERP systems was done in good cooperation between the supplier and Sonlinc by using Landis+Gyr‘s unique integration platform AIMIA.
CEZ Group, Czech: Building up the largest ICG meter data management system in Europe
Landis+Gyr is working with the Czech utility, CEZ, building the largest Industrial, Commercial and Grid (ICG) metering data centre in Europe. The solution includes Gridstream Converge software for 43,000 ICG metering points in Czech, Romania and Bulgaria and is designed for the total 85,000 ICG, or industrial metering points, including the calculation of nearly 300,000 load profiles. The software is integrated into the utility’s SAP ERP system. Data web portal enables customers to log onto their energy usage information online.
E.ON Hungaria: Landis+Gyr industrial smart metering solution to deliver energy efficiency and flexibility
Landis+Gyr Converge has been selected by E.ON Hungaria Zrt. as its new data acquisition system capable of achieving a highly automated workflow, multiple source data integration and cost optimization in one single solution. The entire system is embedded into the existing IT environment of E.ON IS. Having started initially with 2,000 meters, the project has grown continuously to include more metering devices, interfaces and server hardware, and reached 19,000 metering points by August 2008.
Transelectrica: Revolutionary metering management in Romania
In 2002 Transelectrica initiated a major energy project aimed at modernizing all metering facilities of the transmission network in Romania. Landis+Gyr delivered and installed the Meter Data Management System based on Converge and www100 System that has been extensively upgraded in 2006 to meet new regulatory requirements of the liberalized Romanian energy market. The system comprises a number of cutting edge operational modules for data acquisition, processing, aggregation, calculation of losses and many more that are critical to smooth and efficient network operation.
Scottish & Southern: Sustainable “green” meters for micro-generation
Landis+Gyr designed an environmentally friendly solution to match the customer's desire to bundle usage and generation of renewable energy with prepayment functionality in one system. Scottish and Southern has supplied their micro-generation customers with the import-export meters that have been integrated into an AMM system to measure energy consumption and energy produced within a home from renewable power sources such as solar PV and wind turbines.
Elektro Ljubljana: Landis+Gyr brings PLC-based smart metering to Slovenia
The Gridstream solution for Elektro Ljubljana has been customized to equally service rural and urban areas in the big Ljubjana district. Landis+Gyr has deployed smart electricity meters with a PLAN communication interface to 6,600 end consumers, and data concentrators with GSM/GPRS or Ethernet connection to the central system to each of its 246 transformer stations. Successfully implemented pilot phase in June 2008 followed by a mass field installation and additional performance measurement tests provided a sound basis for forward-going plans to deploy further 30,000 metering points with Elektro Ljubljana in the second half of 2010.
