Attends White House Smart Cities Forum in Support of Technology Vision

ATLANTA, GA. – Sept. 14, 2015 – Landis+Gyr, the global leader in energy management solutions, announced it is supporting Envision America, a new nationwide nonprofit, in its efforts to accelerate deployment of innovative technologies for energy, water, waste and air challenges. As part of this effort, the company will be represented at the Smart Cities Forum hosted at the White House today.

The White House Smart Cities Forum will bring together representatives from government, research and industry to discuss applying technology to a number of issues cities face, including congestion, crime, service delivery and sustainability.

Envision America will officially launch in Charlotte, NC in January 2016 with a workshop bringing together experts from industry and academia to diagnose needs, discover solutions and develop new smart initiatives. Leaders from 10 urban communities will be invited to participate in this first event.
