Product Manager Industrial & Commercial Metering

For our Product Management Organization at the company headquarters in Zug, we are looking for an
individual experienced in an international and multicultural working environment to join us as a:

Product Manager Industrial & Commercial Metering

Customers in over 70 countries around the globe secure their high precision electricity measurement and
communication with our electricity meters. As Product Manager you manage a whole portfolio of Industrial
and Commercial electricity meters. You conduct the business in accordance with business objectives, business
plan as well as annual budget.

In this key role you coordinate all internal departments for the overall success of the portfolio, act as the
internal entrepreneur of the portfolio. Furthermore, your main areas of responsibilities will be the following:

  • Develops product roadmaps and prepares project/product proposals according to the PLM process
    involving all stake holders in the business
  • Plan and execute market introduction together with sales organisations, technical pre-sales and bid
    support teams and Marcom
  • Accompanies R&D project through the PLM process
  • Manages pricing and positioning of commercial and industrial product portfolio
  • Coordinates entire PLM processes for the Industrial and Commercial electricity meter portfolio
  • Observes the market with a view to identifying new customer requirements
  • Ensures the global competitiveness of the product portfolio through portfolio management,
    benchmarking, continuous cost improvements, innovations and time to market
  • Contributes as an integral part of the Product Management team to the overall success of the
    complete L+G product portfolio

This expert position requires:

  • University degree or equivalent education in Business Administration and Electrical Engineering
  • Several years of experience in business to business Product Management for products/solutions with
    focus on industrial electronic devices, preferably in the area of electricity distribution or metrology
  • A strong interest into the ever-changing global energy industry
  • Business background in Marketing, Portfolio Management and/or Business Development
  • Successful project management in cooperation with numerous interfaces both internally and
    externally
  • Track record of successfully transforming ideas into solutions / products
  • Strong cross-functional product portfolio leadership abilities
