Security Architect

For our R&D organization at the company headquarters in Zug, we are looking for a highly motivated: Security Architect

The Security Architect is responsible for technology and architecture ownership for the security of our solutions and products within EMEA. Your main responsibilities will among others include:

▪ Ensure cross-company state of the art security solution architecture and keep solution TCO, quality and performance at a competitive level by applying state of the art architectures tools and design selections
▪ Actively support and drive definition and implementation of relevant industry standards in the security domain
▪ Support Product Management, Operations, R&D and Customer Projects in the development and implementation of best-in-class security in devices and solutions
▪ Improve process efficiency and enable organization to quickly respond to changing market needs by applying state of the art architectures and tools
▪ Ensure and continuously improve solution end-to-end security quality and cost
▪ Create and maintain detailed and comprehensive security architectural and functional specifications on different system levels, including manufacturing and embedded device areas
▪ Effectively manage breakdown of market and industry high level requirements to subsystem level technical specifications
▪ Define, support and/or perform Product Security Risk Assessments, penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
▪ Responsibility for continuous improvement based on feedback from Product Management and R&D
▪ Act as interface and technical specifications translator between Product Management and R&D teams
▪ Play an active role in communication and coaching of R&D contributors and other stakeholders, including customers and industry association partners

This position requires the following skills & experience:

▪ University degree or equivalent in IT or Electrical Engineering
▪ Proven security domain knowledge with demonstratable track record and in-depth technical knowledge, including embedded devices, supply chain and IT domains.
▪ Several year’s work experience in an R&D role within the electronic/mechatronic/IT-industry
▪ Familiarity and in-depth understanding of development processes and their continuous improvement
▪ Extensive experience in solution security for energy, electric utilities, telecom or other similar industries running critical infrastructure systems
▪ In-depth knowledge of end-to-end security technologies, certification frameworks, standards and implementations
▪ Ability to communicate and co-operate with numerous stakeholders, able to explain complex topics to a less technically skilled audience
▪ Ability and willingness to learn new things, with high focus on the digital age
▪ Self-starter, highly flexible, able to work under pressure and team-oriented personality
▪ Fluent in English, fluent German skills strong wish, any other language is a plus
