Technical Product Manager, SW Platform (Finland)

Landis+Gyr's Global Software Platform Group is looking for a Technical Product Manager. We provide the foundation for the next generation of Smart Grid solutions to enable utilities and other businesses to leverage their energy-related assets.

Your key responsibilities will include developing a software ecosystem connecting legacy metering systems with the future industrial Internet-of-Things (I2oT) for Smart Grids. You lead new system product definition and development in cooperation with our regional product management organizations, software architects as well as lead customers around the world. Evaluating system platform development needs and defining product features according to target product positioning is part of your work. You evaluate products on markets and potential partnering options. Managing customer requests and preparing requirements for portfolio prioritization is your job. You support promotion and marketing of the future I2oT ecosystem, prepare customer presentations, demonstrations, exhibition visits and other marketing activities. You also support the go to market strategy for the upcoming releases of global software products.

In your work you will closely interact with our R&D platform teams in Finland, USA and India as well as the local market sales organization for pilot customers. You will also become the orchestrator of the definition and market introduction for various parts of Landis+Gyr’s future I2oT software ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has several years of experience in B2B software product management and proven track record on managing multi-national market launches. It’s ideal to also have experience in developing a very innovative IT system product from concept idea to first release. A pioneer attitude to steer development activities at early stage of a new markets is needed. Solid know-how in developing solutions with multiple R&D and partners on international locations is desired. The ability to lead cross-departmental environment in matrix organization and sound experience in working in multi-national and –cultural environment is important. You have great interpersonal, people and presentation skills. Your written and verbal communication skills in English are strong, additional languages are a plus. You have also willingness to travel and familiarize yourself with state-of-the-art B2B software architecture patterns.

As a person you are innovative, customer oriented and have excellent cross-cultural communication skills. In negotiations you are goal oriented and able to present your company even in challenging situations.
