1. Description -------------- Landis+Gyr MAP120 is designed to read and to modify parameters of the E850, S650, E650 and E550 meter series as well as communication units E65C and E35C Version 3. For all other service functions Landis+Gyr MAP110 must be used. 2. IEC and hdlc device addresses can be entered together (used for special multi drop applications). Various duplications have been removed. - Device addresses: After a reparameterisation of the IEC or hdlc device address the meter is restarted automatically to activate the new addresses. - Time of use: The position of the crosses in the printout of the day tables has been fixed. System Requirements ---------------------- - Supported operating systems: - Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista. - Landis+Gyr MAP120 may work on other MS Windows versions as well. These haven't been tested and there is no support available in case of problems. - The following system components which are not part of Landis+Gyr MAP120 must be installed on your computer: - Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017 (x86) 4. First Time Installation -------------------------- In order to install correctly Landis+Gyr MAP120, a) ensure that you have administrator privileges on your PC b) run 'setup.exe' c) follow the instructions of the setup wizard 5. Upgrade ---------- 5.1 Upgrade of a former Landis+Gyr MAP120 release 7.0 to the most recent release 7.0 The newest release 7.0 automatically replaces any former release 7.0. All data including the license and the communication profiles is kept. Procedure: Start the installation procedure (run setup.exe) and confirm the upgrade. 5.2 Upgrade of Landis+Gyr MAP120 6.x, 5.x, 4.x to the most recent release The new release can be installed in parallel to a former release 4.0 and up. In this case for the installation a separate directory is required. It is strongly recommended to uninstall the old release because it will no longer be supported. All data including the license and the communication profiles is kept. Procedure: 1. Uninstall the old release. 2. Start the installation procedure of the new release (run setup.exe). 3. In case of a parallel installation select a different directory. 5.3 Upgrade of Landis+Gyr MAP120 3.x, 2.5, 2.4 or 2.3 to the most recent release The new release can be installed in parallel to a former release 2.3 and up. In this case for the installation a separate directory is required. It is strongly recommended to uninstall the old release because it will no longer be supported. All data including the license is kept. Procedure: 1. Uninstall the old release 2. Start the installation procedure of the new release (run setup.exe). 3. In case of a parallel installation select a different directory 4. To restore the communication profiles copy the content of '\profiles' subdirectory from the old to the new release.
