Helen Sähköverkko and Landis+Gyr sign agreement on smart meter delivery and remote reading service
Helen Sähköverkko Oy will continue its long-term cooperation with Landis+Gyr by deploying a new generation of metering and data communication solutions.
Helen Sähköverkko Oy continues its long-term collaboration with Landis+Gyr, a provider of integrated energy management solutions. The agreement includes the delivery of approximately 230,000 smart meters for both upgrades and upcoming network expansions, reliable IoT communication, and long-term remote reading services.
“In addition to measuring electricity consumption, the devices serve as accurate tools for monitoring the quality of electricity supply, enabling efficient control of power quality and flexibility, even during the ongoing clean transition. At the same time, we will gain better information about the status of the electricity network, enabling us to further improve our customer experience,” says Markus Lehtonen, CEO of Helen Sähköverkko Oy.
With this agreement, Helen Sähköverkko will be equipped to meet both current and future metering needs for electricity consumption and small-scale production. The remote reading service will be upgraded by upgrading the existing Landis+Gyr meter base with new, efficient, and smart meters from the E360 and E660 series. At the same time, the remote reading communication solution will transition to standardized, cost-effective IoT technologies (NB-IoT and LTE Cat M1).
